Mitch's song "Because of Who You Are" won the national grand prize for 2014 "song of the year" at Christian Song Competition. Praise Charts puts on the annual competition and Mitch wants to thank praise charts for selecting his song and helping get the message of grace out!
Mitch has been singing, worship leading, and songwriting for over 11 years now. He came to Christ on the campus of The University of Kansas in 2001 and that is where he started his musical journey.
Mitch has led worship on mission fields, in churches, coffee shops, and on the streets. Since then, Mitch has released three full-length records and ventured out to Nashville this past summer to work on his latest project “Grace Defines Me”. With the help of local producer Brian Hitt and mixing engineer Ainslie Grosser, Mitch came back with a 10 song record that was just released in September! Mitch’s goal is to continue to reach out with his music at whatever capacity he can.
Mitch loves being a husband and dad. He and his wife, Kristi, have been happily married for over seven years and have four boys together: Hayden, Preston, Lyrik and Titus! They currently reside in Topeka, Kansas where Mitch is a worship pastor.
Mitch is excited to announce that he will be working along side songwriter/producer Brian Hitt in late July. Brian and Mitch will be co-writing and Mitch will be releasing a brand new 5 song EP out of Nashville that will be a digital release. The project is set to be released on Itunes, Google Play, and Amazon in October of 2015.
